Gala
Typeface Design, 2020
Gala is a typeface I realized during a workshop with Michael Zehnder from Studio Afrika. The development of the project, started with the research of interesting shapes made with paper cuts. Then a concept had to be chosen and followed: after a good amount of sketches, the best letters were digitized, corrected and brought in the type-editing software. The result is a typeface with this kind of fluid and surreal shapes, which is better readable when used for big text.
